We are seeking an accomplished and operationally focused Director of Technology Operations to lead enterprise technology operations, infrastructure, cloud services, IT service delivery, systems reliability, and operational resilience. This leadership role is responsible for ensuring technology environments remain secure, scalable, reliable, and aligned with business requirements.
The Director of Technology Operations will oversee technology operations teams and partner closely with Infrastructure, Engineering, DevOps, Cybersecurity, IT Service Management, Enterprise Architecture, Finance, and Executive Leadership. This position will establish operational standards, improve service reliability, manage technology resources, and lead modernization initiatives across the enterprise technology environment.
The ideal candidate brings extensive experience managing complex technology operations, distributed teams, cloud environments, infrastructure platforms, and service delivery functions. Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Develop and execute technology operations strategies aligned with enterprise objectives.
- Lead day-to-day operations across infrastructure, cloud platforms, systems, networks, applications, and IT services.
- Establish service reliability, availability, performance, and operational excellence standards.
- Manage technology operations teams, technical resources, vendors, and service providers.
- Oversee cloud infrastructure and enterprise technology platforms across applicable environments.
- Establish and maintain IT service management processes, standards, and operational procedures.
- Develop incident, problem, change, and configuration management practices.
- Monitor technology performance, capacity, availability, and system health.
- Lead technology resilience, disaster recovery, business continuity, and operational risk initiatives.
- Partner with Cybersecurity teams to strengthen infrastructure security, access controls, monitoring, and risk management.
- Collaborate with DevOps and Engineering teams to improve automation, CI/CD, observability, and deployment reliability.
- Manage technology operations budgets, vendor contracts, licensing, and resource allocation.
- Develop operational KPIs, dashboards, service-level objectives, and executive reporting.
- Identify opportunities to automate processes, reduce costs, improve performance, and increase operational efficiency.
- Lead infrastructure modernization, cloud migration, platform optimization, and technology transformation initiatives.
- Establish vendor performance standards and manage strategic technology relationships.
- Recruit, mentor, and develop high-performing technology operations professionals.
Job Qualifications and Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, Business Administration, or a related discipline.
- Master’s degree preferred.
- Minimum 10 years of progressive experience in IT operations, infrastructure, cloud operations, systems administration, or technology service delivery.
- Minimum 5 years of leadership experience managing technology operations teams or enterprise infrastructure functions.
- Strong knowledge of cloud platforms including AWS, Microsoft Azure, or Google Cloud.
- Strong understanding of infrastructure, networking, databases, systems administration, cybersecurity, and enterprise applications.
- Experience with IT service management frameworks such as ITIL preferred.
- Experience with DevOps, CI/CD, automation, observability, and infrastructure-as-code practices.
- Proven experience managing technology budgets, vendors, contracts, and operational resources.
- Strong understanding of disaster recovery, business continuity, incident management, and technology risk.

Compensation & Benefits
Compensation Package: $280,000 – $410,000 annually, based on technology operations leadership experience, organizational scale, cloud expertise, infrastructure complexity, industry background, and overall qualifications.
