We are seeking an experienced Data Center Project Manager to lead complex infrastructure projects that support the planning, construction, modernization, and operational expansion of world-class data centers.

This leadership role is responsible for managing the complete lifecycle of mission-critical infrastructure projects, including project planning, budgeting, scheduling, vendor coordination, risk management, and stakeholder communication. The Data Center Project Manager partners with Engineering, Construction, Facilities Operations, Network Infrastructure, Cloud Engineering, Procurement, Finance, Security, and Executive Leadership to ensure successful project execution while maintaining the highest standards of quality, safety, reliability, and operational excellence.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Lead end-to-end planning, execution, and delivery of enterprise data center infrastructure projects.
  • Develop project schedules, budgets, resource plans, risk assessments, and execution strategies.
  • Coordinate engineering, construction, facilities, networking, and cloud infrastructure teams throughout project lifecycles.
  • Manage vendor relationships, contractor performance, procurement activities, and equipment deployments.
  • Monitor project scope, budget, schedule, quality, and operational milestones while ensuring successful delivery.
  • Identify project risks and implement mitigation strategies supporting business continuity and operational resilience.
  • Support commissioning, infrastructure testing, capacity planning, and production readiness activities.
  • Ensure compliance with safety regulations, engineering standards, security requirements, and corporate governance policies.
  • Facilitate executive project reviews and provide regular status updates, financial reporting, and performance metrics.
  • Collaborate with cloud engineering and operations teams during infrastructure deployments and migration activities.
  • Support sustainability initiatives focused on energy efficiency and operational optimization.
  • Develop project documentation, implementation plans, change management procedures, and technical reports.
  • Mentor Project Coordinators and junior Project Managers while promoting project management best practices.
  • Drive continuous improvement across project delivery methodologies and infrastructure operations.

Job Qualifications and Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Construction Management, Information Technology, Project Management, or a related discipline required.
  • Master’s degree or MBA preferred.
  • Minimum of 8 years of experience managing enterprise infrastructure, construction, technology, or mission-critical facility projects.
  • Proven experience delivering data center, cloud infrastructure, network infrastructure, or critical facilities projects.
  • Strong understanding of electrical systems, mechanical systems, cooling infrastructure, power distribution, networking, and data center operations.
  • Experience with Microsoft Project, Primavera P6, Smartsheet, Jira, or equivalent project management platforms.
  • Strong financial management, budgeting, forecasting, contract administration, and vendor management skills.
  • PMP, PgMP, PRINCE2, or equivalent project management certification strongly preferred.
  • Familiarity with Tier III/Tier IV data center standards, ITIL, and mission-critical infrastructure practices is highly desirable.
  • Exceptional leadership, communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills.

Working Conditions

  • Fully Remote position within the United States.
  • Flexible leadership schedule supporting collaboration across multiple U.S. regions.
  • Approximately 25–35% domestic travel to data center facilities, project sites, customer locations, and executive planning sessions.
  • Company-provided laptop, collaboration software, and home office technology support.
  • Dynamic environment supporting mission-critical infrastructure with occasional after-hours coordination during major project implementations.

Job Function

The Data Center Project Manager is responsible for leading the planning, execution, and successful delivery of enterprise data center and critical infrastructure projects. This role collaborates with engineering, facilities, cloud infrastructure, operations, finance, and executive leadership to ensure projects are delivered safely, efficiently, within budget, and aligned with strategic business objectives. Success is measured through project delivery, infrastructure reliability, budget performance, operational readiness, stakeholder satisfaction, and long-term business value.


Compensation & Benefits

Compensation Package

Base Salary: $326,000 – $389,000 USD annually

Compensation is determined based on project leadership experience, mission-critical infrastructure expertise, technical knowledge, geographic location, certifications, and overall qualifications.
