About the Opportunity

We are seeking an experienced and technically sophisticated Technical Project Manager to lead complex technology initiatives from planning through successful delivery. This role is responsible for coordinating cross-functional engineering teams, managing project scope and timelines, identifying technical risks, and ensuring technology projects meet business, quality, and operational objectives.

The Technical Project Manager will work closely with Software Engineering, Product Management, DevOps, Infrastructure, Cybersecurity, Data, Quality Assurance, and executive stakeholders to translate strategic objectives into actionable project plans. This position requires a strong understanding of technology environments combined with exceptional project leadership, communication, and organizational capabilities.

The ideal candidate is a decisive and collaborative project leader who can navigate technical complexity, manage competing priorities, communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders, and maintain delivery momentum in a fast-paced remote environment.


Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Lead end-to-end delivery of complex software, infrastructure, cloud, and technology projects.
  • Develop project charters, schedules, milestones, budgets, resource plans, and delivery strategies.
  • Define project scope, objectives, deliverables, dependencies, and success criteria.
  • Coordinate cross-functional engineering, product, security, infrastructure, and business teams.
  • Facilitate project planning meetings, stand-ups, technical reviews, and stakeholder updates.
  • Monitor project progress, timelines, budgets, risks, issues, and dependencies.
  • Identify technical and operational risks and develop appropriate mitigation strategies.
  • Manage scope changes and ensure project priorities remain aligned with business objectives.
  • Translate complex technical concepts into clear updates for executive and business stakeholders.
  • Partner with Engineering and Architecture teams to understand technical requirements and constraints.
  • Coordinate testing, release planning, deployment activities, and production readiness.
  • Maintain project documentation, status reports, roadmaps, and executive dashboards.
  • Manage relationships with vendors, technology partners, and external project stakeholders.
  • Ensure projects follow established governance, security, compliance, and quality standards.
  • Conduct project retrospectives and implement process improvements for future initiatives.

Job Qualifications and Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, Business Administration, or a related discipline.
  • Minimum 6 years of project management experience, including significant experience managing technology projects.
  • PMP, PMI-ACP, Scrum Master, or comparable project management certification preferred.
  • Strong understanding of software development lifecycles, Agile, Scrum, Kanban, and hybrid delivery methodologies.
  • Experience managing software development, cloud, infrastructure, cybersecurity, data, or enterprise technology initiatives.
  • Familiarity with Jira, Confluence, Azure DevOps, Asana, Monday.com, Smartsheet, or comparable project management platforms.
  • Strong understanding of technical architecture, APIs, databases, cloud environments, CI/CD, and modern software development practices.
  • Proven experience managing project budgets, resources, schedules, risks, and dependencies.
  • Excellent executive communication, stakeholder management, and presentation skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead distributed and cross-functional technology teams.

Working Conditions

  • Fully Remote position within the United States.
  • Standard Monday through Friday business schedule.

Compensation & Benefits

Compensation Package: $190,000 – $285,000 annually, based on technical project management experience, technology expertise, project complexity, industry background, certifications, and overall qualifications.
