We are seeking an experienced Senior Engineer – Research & Development (R&D) to lead complex engineering initiatives from concept through commercialization. This senior technical role is responsible for product innovation, research, design validation, technical leadership, and cross-functional collaboration to develop high-impact solutions that meet customer and business objectives.
The Senior Engineer will work closely with Product Management, Manufacturing, Quality Assurance, Software Engineering, Supply Chain, Regulatory Affairs, and Executive Leadership to accelerate innovation while delivering reliable, scalable, and market-leading products.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Lead research and development projects supporting new product innovation and technology advancement.
- Design, develop, prototype, test, and validate innovative engineering solutions.
- Conduct technical feasibility studies, performance analysis, and engineering risk assessments.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams throughout the complete product development lifecycle.
- Develop engineering specifications, technical documentation, design standards, and validation plans.
- Perform simulation, modeling, laboratory testing, and performance optimization activities.
- Evaluate emerging technologies, materials, components, and engineering methodologies.
- Support intellectual property development, patent documentation, and innovation initiatives.
- Lead root cause investigations and implement engineering improvements.
- Ensure compliance with industry regulations, quality standards, and engineering best practices.
- Mentor junior engineers while promoting engineering excellence and continuous learning.
- Present technical recommendations and project updates to executive leadership and key stakeholders.
- Support product commercialization, manufacturing readiness, and post-launch performance improvements.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives that enhance product quality, reliability, and customer satisfaction.
Job Qualifications and Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Biomedical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related technical discipline required.
- Master’s degree or Ph.D. in Engineering or a related field is highly preferred.
- Minimum of 8 years of progressive engineering experience within Research & Development, Product Development, or Advanced Engineering.
- Proven experience leading complex engineering or product development projects.
- Strong knowledge of product lifecycle management (PLM), engineering design methodologies, and systems engineering.
- Experience with CAD software, simulation tools, testing methodologies, and engineering analysis platforms relevant to the discipline.
- Familiarity with Agile, Lean Product Development, Design for Manufacturing (DFM), and Design for Six Sigma (DFSS).
- Professional Engineer (PE), Six Sigma certification, or industry-specific certifications are considered an advantage.
- Outstanding analytical, communication, leadership, and technical problem-solving skills.

Compensation & Benefits
Compensation Package
Base Salary: $318,000 – $378,000 USD annually
Compensation is determined based on engineering expertise, R&D leadership experience, technical specialization, advanced education, geographic location, and overall qualifications.
