About the Opportunity
We are seeking an experienced and strategic Senior Accounting Manager to lead core accounting operations, financial close activities, reporting, internal controls, and accounting process improvement initiatives. This senior-level position will ensure the accuracy and integrity of financial information while supporting compliance, strengthening financial controls, and providing valuable insights to senior leadership.
The Senior Accounting Manager will partner with Finance, FP&A, Tax, Treasury, Audit, Legal, Operations, and Executive Leadership to oversee accounting activities and ensure timely, accurate, and compliant financial reporting. The role will provide leadership across month-end and year-end close, account reconciliations, financial statement preparation, audit coordination, and accounting policy development.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Lead monthly, quarterly, and annual financial close processes.
- Oversee general ledger activities, journal entries, accruals, and account reconciliations.
- Review balance sheet accounts and investigate significant variances.
- Prepare and review financial statements and management reporting packages.
- Ensure accounting activities comply with U.S. GAAP and company policies.
- Maintain and strengthen internal controls over financial reporting.
- Coordinate external audits and serve as a key contact for external auditors.
- Partner with FP&A on budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis.
- Collaborate with Tax and Treasury teams on financial reporting and cash management activities.
- Develop and maintain accounting policies, procedures, and documentation.
- Identify opportunities to automate and improve accounting workflows.
- Oversee accounts payable, accounts receivable, fixed assets, revenue accounting, and other accounting functions as applicable.
- Monitor accounting performance and recommend improvements to financial operations.
- Research and support the implementation of new accounting standards.
- Prepare financial analyses and recommendations for senior leadership.
- Lead, mentor, and develop accounting professionals.
- Establish a culture focused on accuracy, accountability, efficiency, and continuous improvement.
Job Qualifications and Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field.
- CPA certification strongly preferred.
- 8+ years of progressive accounting experience.
- 3–5+ years of accounting management or leadership experience.
- Strong knowledge of U.S. GAAP, financial reporting, internal controls, and accounting principles.
- Proven experience managing month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close processes.
- Experience supporting external audits and financial statement preparation.
- Strong knowledge of general ledger accounting, reconciliations, accruals, and financial reporting.
- Experience with ERP systems such as NetSuite, SAP, Oracle, Microsoft Dynamics, Workday, or similar platforms.
- Advanced Microsoft Excel and financial analysis skills.

Working Conditions
- Fully Remote position within the United States.
- Standard Monday through Friday schedule.
- Additional flexibility may be required during month-end, quarter-end, year-end, and audit periods.
- Frequent virtual collaboration with Finance, Accounting, Audit, Tax, Treasury, and Executive Leadership.
- Primarily computer-based work using ERP, accounting, reporting, and collaboration platforms.
- Occasional travel for leadership meetings, audits, conferences, and company events.

Compensation & Benefits
Compensation Package: $240,000 – $350,000 annually, based on accounting leadership experience, CPA status, technical accounting expertise, organizational complexity, industry background, and overall qualifications.
