We are seeking an experienced Security Engineer to join our Information Security organization and help strengthen the security posture of our enterprise infrastructure, cloud environments, and customer-facing platforms. This role combines hands-on technical engineering with strategic security initiatives, enabling the successful candidate to influence security architecture across the organization.
The Security Engineer will collaborate with Software Engineering, Cloud Infrastructure, DevOps, IT Operations, Product Security, Risk Management, and Compliance teams to design, implement, and continuously improve security controls that protect mission-critical systems. From cloud security and identity management to vulnerability remediation, incident response, and security automation, this position offers broad exposure to modern cybersecurity practices within a fast-paced technology environment.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Design, implement, and maintain enterprise security controls across cloud, network, application, and endpoint environments.
- Develop security architecture that supports scalable, highly available, and resilient cloud infrastructure.
- Monitor enterprise environments for security events and coordinate response to cybersecurity incidents.
- Perform vulnerability assessments, security reviews, and risk analyses across infrastructure and applications.
- Collaborate with engineering teams to integrate security into software development and DevSecOps pipelines.
- Configure and manage identity and access management (IAM) solutions following least-privilege principles.
- Build and maintain security automation using scripting and infrastructure-as-code technologies.
- Implement endpoint detection and response (EDR), SIEM, and security monitoring solutions.
- Conduct security testing including configuration reviews, penetration support, and threat modeling.
- Lead remediation efforts for identified vulnerabilities and security gaps.
- Support regulatory compliance initiatives including SOC 2, ISO 27001, HIPAA, PCI DSS, and NIST frameworks.
- Develop security standards, technical documentation, and operational procedures.
- Evaluate emerging cybersecurity technologies and recommend improvements to enterprise security architecture.
- Participate in incident response, forensic investigations, and post-incident reviews.
- Provide technical guidance and security awareness to internal engineering and operations teams.
Job Qualifications and Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Cybersecurity, Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or related discipline.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in cybersecurity, security engineering, cloud security, or infrastructure security.
- Strong knowledge of AWS, Microsoft Azure, or Google Cloud Platform security services.
- Experience securing Linux and Windows enterprise environments.
- Proficiency with identity management technologies including Active Directory, Azure AD, Okta, or similar platforms.
- Experience implementing SIEM, SOAR, EDR, IDS/IPS, firewalls, and endpoint protection technologies.
- Knowledge of scripting languages such as Python, PowerShell, or Bash.
- Experience with Infrastructure as Code using Terraform, CloudFormation, or similar technologies.
- Strong understanding of networking concepts including TCP/IP, DNS, VPNs, routing, and secure network design.
- Familiarity with DevSecOps practices, container security, Kubernetes, and CI/CD pipelines.
- Professional certifications such as CISSP, GIAC, Security+, GSEC, CCSP, CEH, or AWS Security Specialty are highly desirable.

Working Conditions
- Fully Remote position within the United States.
- Standard business hours with participation in an on-call security rotation as needed.
- Occasional evening or weekend support during security incidents or critical maintenance windows.
- Limited domestic travel (approximately 10–15%) for security planning sessions, training, and company meetings.

Compensation & Benefits
Compensation Package
Total Compensation: $394,000 – $490,000 USD annually
Compensation is based on technical expertise, cybersecurity experience, certifications, business impact, and overall qualifications.
