About the Opportunity

We are seeking an accomplished and results-driven Sales Manager to lead sales performance, develop high-performing teams, strengthen customer relationships, and drive sustainable revenue growth. This role will oversee sales strategy, pipeline development, forecasting, account management, and team performance while working closely with Marketing, Business Development, Customer Success, Product, and Executive Leadership.

The ideal candidate combines strong commercial judgment with proven sales leadership, coaching ability, analytical skills, and a track record of achieving revenue targets. The successful candidate will thrive in a remote environment and be comfortable managing distributed sales teams across multiple markets and time zones.


Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute sales strategies aligned with organizational revenue objectives.
  • Lead, coach, and develop a high-performing sales team.
  • Establish sales targets, quotas, KPIs, and performance expectations.
  • Manage the sales pipeline from prospecting through contract closure.
  • Monitor sales activity, conversion rates, revenue performance, and forecast accuracy.
  • Conduct regular pipeline reviews and performance meetings with sales representatives.
  • Identify opportunities for account expansion, cross-selling, and customer retention.
  • Support strategic negotiations with key customers and prospects.
  • Build strong relationships with enterprise clients and senior decision-makers.
  • Collaborate with Marketing to improve lead generation and campaign effectiveness.
  • Partner with Customer Success to strengthen retention and expansion initiatives.
  • Analyze market trends, competitive activity, customer needs, and revenue opportunities.
  • Prepare sales forecasts, performance reports, and executive presentations.
  • Maintain accurate CRM records and ensure consistent sales process adoption.
  • Develop sales training, coaching, and onboarding programs.
  • Identify process improvements that increase sales productivity and efficiency.
  • Recruit and onboard sales professionals as the organization expands.

Job Qualifications and Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Sales, Communications, or a related field preferred.
  • Minimum 5–8 years of experience in sales, business development, or account management.
  • Minimum 2–4 years of sales management or team leadership experience.
  • Demonstrated success achieving or exceeding revenue and sales targets.
  • Experience managing B2B, enterprise, SaaS, technology, or professional-services sales preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of consultative and solution-based selling.
  • Experience with CRM platforms such as Salesforce, HubSpot, Microsoft Dynamics, or similar systems.
  • Strong understanding of pipeline management, forecasting, sales analytics, and performance metrics.
  • Excellent negotiation, presentation, communication, and leadership skills.
  • Ability to manage distributed sales teams in a remote environment.

Strategic Support

The Sales Manager plays a central role in translating organizational growth objectives into measurable sales performance. This position provides leadership across pipeline development, revenue forecasting, customer acquisition, account expansion, and sales team productivity.

Through data-driven management, coaching, market analysis, and strategic account development, the Sales Manager contributes directly to revenue growth, customer acquisition, retention, and long-term commercial performance.


Working Conditions

  • Fully Remote position within the United States.
  • Standard Monday through Friday schedule with flexibility for customer meetings across multiple time zones.
  • Frequent virtual meetings with sales teams, prospects, customers, and internal stakeholders.
  • Primarily computer-based work using CRM, sales analytics, communication, and collaboration platforms.
  • Occasional domestic travel for customer meetings, conferences, sales events, and company gatherings.

Job Function

The Sales Manager is responsible for leading sales teams, developing sales strategies, managing pipelines, forecasting revenue, coaching representatives, strengthening customer relationships, and achieving organizational sales targets.


Compensation & Benefits

Compensation Package: $165,000 – $260,000 annually, based on sales leadership experience, revenue performance, industry expertise, team size, market responsibility, and overall qualifications.
