Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute regional sales strategies aligned with corporate growth objectives and annual revenue targets.
  • Lead, coach, and develop a high-performing regional sales team focused on exceeding sales goals and customer expectations.
  • Drive new business acquisition while expanding existing customer relationships across hospitals, health systems, physician groups, and strategic accounts.
  • Establish territory plans, sales forecasts, pipeline strategies, and account development initiatives.
  • Build strong executive-level relationships with healthcare administrators, physicians, procurement leaders, and clinical stakeholders.
  • Monitor regional sales performance and implement action plans to maximize revenue growth and market penetration.
  • Collaborate with Marketing to execute regional campaigns, product launches, educational programs, and promotional initiatives.
  • Partner with Product Management to communicate customer feedback, competitive insights, and market opportunities.
  • Conduct regular field coaching, ride-alongs, performance reviews, and professional development sessions for regional team members.
  • Manage regional sales forecasting, CRM pipeline accuracy, and opportunity management.
  • Analyze sales metrics, market trends, customer activity, and competitive intelligence to guide strategic decision-making.
  • Oversee contract negotiations and collaborate with internal stakeholders to support successful commercial agreements.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies, healthcare regulations, and industry ethical standards.
  • Represent the organization at medical conferences, trade shows, customer meetings, and industry events.
  • Manage regional operating budgets, travel expenses, and resource allocation efficiently.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives that strengthen operational performance and customer satisfaction.

Job Qualifications and Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Healthcare Administration, Life Sciences, or a related field.
  • MBA preferred.
  • 7+ years of progressive sales leadership experience within medical devices, healthcare technology, pharmaceuticals, diagnostics, or life sciences.
  • Minimum 3 years of experience managing regional or multi-state sales teams.
  • Proven success exceeding revenue targets within complex B2B or healthcare sales environments.
  • Strong understanding of healthcare purchasing processes, hospital systems, GPOs, IDNs, and strategic account management.
  • Experience managing enterprise sales cycles and executive-level customer relationships.
  • Proficiency with Salesforce CRM or comparable customer relationship management platforms.
  • Strong analytical, forecasting, and financial planning capabilities.
  • Excellent negotiation, presentation, and executive communication skills.
  • Ability to travel extensively throughout the assigned region.
  • Valid driver’s license with the ability to travel by automobile and air as required.

Strategic Support

Compensation & Benefits
