About the Opportunity
We are seeking an experienced and technically skilled Manufacturing Engineer to improve manufacturing processes, production efficiency, quality, reliability, and cost performance. This role will support the development, optimization, and implementation of manufacturing systems while collaborating closely with Operations, Quality, Product Development, Supply Chain, and Engineering teams.
The ideal candidate combines strong engineering fundamentals with practical knowledge of process improvement, production systems, lean manufacturing, automation, quality management, and root-cause analysis.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Develop, optimize, and implement manufacturing processes and production methods.
- Analyze production workflows to identify opportunities for improved efficiency and productivity.
- Develop process specifications, work instructions, manufacturing documentation, and technical standards.
- Lead root-cause analysis of production issues, defects, downtime, and process failures.
- Implement corrective and preventive actions to improve manufacturing performance.
- Support new product introduction and transition designs from engineering into production.
- Develop manufacturing processes, tooling, fixtures, equipment, and production layouts.
- Evaluate manufacturing equipment and recommend technology improvements.
- Partner with Quality Engineering to reduce defects and improve process capability.
- Apply Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, Kaizen, and continuous-improvement methodologies.
- Analyze production data and establish KPIs for manufacturing performance.
- Support capacity planning, cycle-time analysis, and production optimization.
- Collaborate with Supply Chain and Procurement teams on materials, suppliers, and manufacturing requirements.
- Support automation, robotics, and process-control initiatives where applicable.
- Develop cost-reduction initiatives without compromising quality or safety.
- Ensure manufacturing processes comply with applicable safety, quality, and regulatory standards.
- Participate in equipment qualification, validation, testing, and commissioning.
- Train production and technical personnel on new processes and equipment.
- Prepare engineering reports, process analyses, and recommendations for leadership.
Job Qualifications and Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related field.
- 5–8 years of manufacturing engineering experience preferred.
- Strong understanding of manufacturing processes, production systems, and industrial engineering principles.
- Experience with Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, process optimization, and root-cause analysis.
- Strong knowledge of engineering drawings, GD&T, process specifications, and technical documentation.
- Experience with CAD tools such as AutoCAD, SolidWorks, CATIA, Creo, or similar platforms.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and manufacturing data-analysis tools.
- Experience with ERP, MES, PLM, or manufacturing management systems preferred.
- Knowledge of quality systems such as ISO 9001 is preferred.
- Six Sigma certification, PE license, or other relevant professional certification is a plus.

Working Conditions
- Remote-based position with travel as required.
- Standard Monday through Friday schedule.
- Flexible hours may occasionally be required during production launches, equipment commissioning, or critical manufacturing activities.
- Frequent virtual collaboration with Engineering, Operations, Quality, Supply Chain, and Product Development teams.
- Primarily computer-based engineering and analytical work.
- Occasional travel to manufacturing facilities, supplier locations, testing facilities, and industry events.
- Periodic onsite work may be required during major process implementations or production launches.
Job Function
The Manufacturing Engineer is responsible for designing, optimizing, and improving manufacturing processes, production systems, equipment, quality, productivity, and cost performance while supporting new product introduction and continuous improvement initiatives.
Compensation & Benefits
Compensation Package: $135,000 – $210,000 annually, based on engineering experience, manufacturing specialization, industry expertise, technical capabilities, professional certifications, and overall qualifications.
