The HR Director serves as a trusted advisor to executive leadership, partnering with senior business leaders to align talent strategy with corporate objectives while ensuring operational excellence across every stage of the employee lifecycle.

The successful candidate will lead strategic initiatives involving organizational design, executive coaching, workforce planning, succession management, leadership development, compensation strategy, employee engagement, compliance, culture transformation, and change management. They will influence decisions that directly impact business performance while helping build an organization recognized for attracting and retaining world-class talent.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Serve as the senior Human Resources business partner to executive leadership, providing strategic guidance on organizational effectiveness, workforce planning, and business transformation initiatives.
  • Design and execute enterprise-wide talent strategies supporting long-term growth objectives and evolving business priorities.
  • Lead organizational development initiatives including restructuring, workforce optimization, leadership succession, and talent mobility.
  • Partner with senior executives to identify organizational capabilities required to achieve future business objectives.
  • Develop and oversee performance management programs that promote accountability, employee development, and high-performance cultures.
  • Direct executive recruitment strategies while strengthening employer branding and talent acquisition processes.
  • Lead company-wide employee engagement initiatives informed by workforce analytics and measurable business outcomes.
  • Establish competitive compensation philosophies, incentive programs, and recognition strategies aligned with organizational performance.
  • Ensure compliance with all applicable federal, state, and local employment regulations while minimizing organizational risk.
  • Oversee investigations involving complex employee relations matters with professionalism, confidentiality, and fairness.
  • Champion diversity, equity, inclusion, belonging, and accessibility initiatives throughout the organization.
  • Utilize workforce analytics and HR metrics to provide executive leadership with actionable business insights.
  • Drive organizational change initiatives resulting from acquisitions, rapid growth, or business transformation.
  • Evaluate and optimize HR technologies, systems, policies, and operational processes to improve efficiency and employee experience.
  • Build, mentor, and develop a high-performing Human Resources team committed to operational excellence and continuous improvement.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with Finance, Legal, Operations, and executive leadership to align people strategies with business priorities.

Job Qualifications and Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Organizational Leadership, or related discipline required.
  • Master’s degree or MBA strongly preferred.
  • SHRM-SCP, SPHR, or equivalent executive HR certification preferred.
  • Minimum 12 years of progressive Human Resources experience with at least 6 years in senior HR leadership positions.
  • Demonstrated experience supporting geographically distributed and remote workforces across multiple U.S. states.
  • Extensive knowledge of federal and multi-state employment laws, regulatory compliance, and HR governance.
  • Proven experience partnering directly with C-level executives and senior leadership teams.
  • Strong background leading organizational transformation, culture initiatives, and enterprise change management.
  • Experience implementing enterprise HRIS platforms including Workday, SAP SuccessFactors, UKG, Oracle HCM, or similar systems.
  • Exceptional analytical, communication, negotiation, and executive presentation skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to influence organizational decisions through data, business insight, and strategic thinking.

Strategic Support

As a member of the senior leadership team, the HR Director provides strategic support by:

  • Advising executive leadership on organizational growth strategies.
  • Leading workforce planning aligned with business expansion objectives.
  • Developing succession pipelines for critical leadership positions.
  • Supporting mergers, acquisitions, and organizational integrations.
  • Driving leadership development initiatives across all business functions.
  • Establishing workforce analytics that guide executive decision-making.
  • Improving organizational capability through strategic talent management.
  • Supporting annual budgeting, compensation planning, and organizational forecasting.
  • Ensuring Human Resources remains a strategic business partner rather than solely an administrative function.

Working Conditions

  • Fully Remote position within the United States.
  • Standard business hours with flexibility to support multiple U.S. time zones.
  • Periodic virtual executive meetings outside normal business hours as business needs require.
  • Limited domestic travel (approximately 10–20%) for leadership meetings, strategic planning sessions, and company events.

Job Function

This executive leadership role is responsible for directing the organization’s Human Resources strategy while ensuring alignment between people initiatives and corporate objectives. The HR Director oversees talent management, organizational effectiveness, compensation strategy, compliance, employee experience, leadership development, and workforce planning to drive sustainable business growth. Success in this role is measured through organizational performance, employee engagement, leadership capability, operational excellence, and the organization’s ability to attract and retain exceptional talent.


Compensation & Benefits

Compensation Package

Base Salary: $394,000 – $490,000 USD annually

Compensation will be determined based on relevant executive leadership experience, demonstrated expertise, business impact, and geographic location.
