About the Opportunity

We are seeking a highly analytical and results-driven Financial Due Diligence professional to join our Transaction Advisory team supporting complex mergers and acquisitions, private equity investments, strategic acquisitions, and corporate finance transactions. This role is responsible for evaluating the financial health of target companies, identifying transaction risks and opportunities, and delivering actionable insights that enable informed investment and acquisition decisions.

As a Financial Due Diligence professional, you will work alongside Investment Banking, Corporate Development, Private Equity, Finance, Accounting, Tax, Legal, and Executive Leadership teams to perform comprehensive financial analyses across buy-side and sell-side transactions. You will assess earnings quality, working capital trends, cash flow performance, financial reporting, and operational drivers while supporting clients throughout every stage of the transaction lifecycle.

The ideal candidate possesses strong financial modeling capabilities, exceptional analytical skills, and experience evaluating complex financial statements within fast-paced transaction environments. Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Perform comprehensive buy-side and sell-side financial due diligence for mergers, acquisitions, divestitures, and strategic investments.
  • Analyze historical financial statements, earnings quality, working capital trends, cash flow performance, and profitability drivers.
  • Evaluate financial risks, operational performance, accounting policies, and key business assumptions.
  • Develop detailed financial models supporting transaction analysis and valuation assessments.
  • Identify potential deal risks, opportunities, and financial considerations that may impact investment decisions.
  • Review budgets, forecasts, and management projections for reasonableness and financial accuracy.
  • Collaborate with Tax, Legal, Accounting, Corporate Finance, and Executive Leadership throughout transaction engagements.
  • Prepare comprehensive due diligence reports, executive presentations, and client deliverables.
  • Participate in management meetings, data room reviews, and client discussions during transaction processes.
  • Support purchase price allocation, transaction structuring, and post-acquisition integration planning.
  • Analyze industry trends, competitive positioning, and market conditions affecting transaction value.
  • Coordinate with external advisors, auditors, and client finance teams to obtain required financial information.
  • Ensure compliance with accounting standards, regulatory requirements, and firm quality standards.
  • Mentor junior team members and contribute to knowledge sharing across transaction advisory engagements.
  • Support business development initiatives, proposal development, and client relationship management activities.

Job Qualifications and Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, Business Administration, or a related discipline.
  • Master’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or MBA preferred.
  • CPA, CFA, or equivalent professional certification is highly preferred.
  • Minimum 4 years of experience in financial due diligence, transaction advisory, investment banking, public accounting, or corporate finance.
  • Strong understanding of U.S. GAAP, financial reporting, valuation methodologies, and transaction structures.
  • Experience supporting mergers and acquisitions, private equity transactions, or strategic investments.
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and financial modeling.
  • Experience using financial reporting systems, ERP platforms, and transaction data management tools.
  • Exceptional analytical, problem-solving, and project management capabilities.
  • Excellent written, verbal, and executive presentation skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple transaction engagements within deadline-driven environments.

The Financial Due Diligence professional serves as a strategic advisor by providing financial analysis that supports mergers, acquisitions, investments, and corporate transactions. This role partners with Investment Banking, Private Equity, Corporate Development, Finance, Tax, Legal, Accounting, and Executive Leadership to evaluate financial performance, identify transaction risks, and support informed investment decisions.

Compensation & Benefits

Compensation Package: $210,000 – $310,000 annually, based on transaction advisory experience, financial expertise, certifications, and overall qualifications.
