About the Opportunity

We are seeking an accomplished Finance Director to lead the financial strategy and operational performance of a rapidly growing healthcare and life sciences organization. This executive leadership role is responsible for overseeing financial planning, budgeting, forecasting, reporting, regulatory compliance, and business performance analysis while partnering closely with executive leadership to drive sustainable growth and long-term financial success.

As the Finance Director, you will collaborate with the Chief Financial Officer, Executive Leadership, Operations, Human Resources, Supply Chain, Information Technology, Legal, and Clinical Business Units to develop financial strategies that support organizational objectives. You will lead enterprise financial planning, optimize resource allocation, improve profitability, manage financial risks, and provide strategic recommendations that influence executive decision-making.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute enterprise financial strategies aligned with organizational goals and long-term growth objectives.
  • Lead annual budgeting, forecasting, long-range financial planning, and capital investment initiatives.
  • Oversee monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reporting while ensuring accuracy, transparency, and compliance.
  • Analyze financial performance, operational metrics, profitability, and market trends to support executive decision-making.
  • Partner with Executive Leadership to evaluate strategic investments, business expansion opportunities, and operational initiatives.
  • Manage financial risk assessment, internal controls, and corporate governance processes.
  • Direct cash flow management, capital planning, and financial resource allocation.
  • Collaborate with Operations and Business Unit Leaders to improve financial performance and operational efficiency.
  • Develop executive dashboards, board presentations, KPI reporting, and financial performance analyses.
  • Ensure compliance with GAAP, regulatory requirements, corporate policies, and audit standards.
  • Lead financial modeling, scenario planning, and business case development for strategic initiatives.
  • Drive process improvement, financial automation, and digital transformation projects within the Finance organization.
  • Recruit, mentor, and develop high-performing finance professionals while fostering a culture of accountability and continuous improvement.
  • Support mergers, acquisitions, due diligence activities, and post-acquisition financial integration when applicable.
  • Build strong relationships with external auditors, financial institutions, regulatory agencies, and executive stakeholders.

Job Qualifications and Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business Administration, or a related discipline.
  • MBA, Master’s degree in Finance, or CPA designation strongly preferred.
  • Minimum 10 years of progressive finance leadership experience.
  • At least 5 years of experience managing enterprise financial operations and leading finance teams.
  • Experience within healthcare, life sciences, pharmaceuticals, medical devices, or other regulated industries is highly preferred.
  • Strong expertise in financial planning & analysis (FP&A), budgeting, forecasting, financial reporting, and strategic planning.
  • Advanced knowledge of GAAP, financial controls, corporate governance, and risk management.
  • Experience with ERP platforms such as SAP, Oracle, Workday Adaptive Planning, or Microsoft Dynamics.
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Power BI, Tableau, and financial reporting systems.
  • Exceptional analytical, executive communication, leadership, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Demonstrated success supporting executive decision-making through financial strategy and operational analysis.

Compensation & Benefits

Compensation Package: $300,000 – $390,000 annually, based on executive leadership experience, financial expertise, industry background, and overall qualifications.
