As we continue expanding our cloud engineering organization, we are seeking a highly skilled Cloud Engineer to design, implement, automate, secure, and optimize enterprise cloud infrastructure. This role will collaborate with software engineering, DevOps, cybersecurity, networking, and platform teams to build resilient, scalable, and cost-efficient cloud environments that support global business operations.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Cloud Infrastructure Engineering

  • Design, deploy, configure, and maintain highly available cloud infrastructure across AWS, Microsoft Azure, and Google Cloud Platform environments.
  • Build scalable cloud architectures supporting enterprise applications, microservices, databases, and distributed systems.
  • Optimize cloud environments for reliability, performance, scalability, and cost efficiency.
  • Support hybrid and multi-cloud infrastructure initiatives across global operations.

Infrastructure Automation

  • Develop and maintain Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using Terraform, AWS CloudFormation, ARM Templates, or similar automation frameworks.
  • Automate infrastructure provisioning, configuration management, and deployment workflows.
  • Standardize cloud environments through reusable templates and infrastructure modules.
  • Continuously improve deployment efficiency through automation best practices.

DevOps & CI/CD

  • Collaborate with DevOps teams to design and maintain CI/CD pipelines supporting rapid software delivery.
  • Integrate cloud infrastructure with GitHub Actions, Azure DevOps, Jenkins, GitLab CI/CD, or similar platforms.
  • Support containerized application deployments using Docker and Kubernetes.
  • Improve deployment reliability through automated testing and release management.

Cloud Security & Compliance

  • Implement cloud security controls including identity and access management (IAM), encryption, network segmentation, security monitoring, and policy enforcement.
  • Support Zero Trust architecture and cloud governance initiatives.
  • Monitor cloud environments for vulnerabilities, compliance risks, and security incidents.
  • Ensure adherence to regulatory requirements, corporate security policies, and industry best practices.

Monitoring & Performance Optimization

  • Monitor cloud infrastructure using enterprise observability platforms.
  • Analyze system performance, availability, resource utilization, and operational health.
  • Troubleshoot infrastructure issues and perform root cause analysis.
  • Optimize cloud resources to improve efficiency while reducing operational costs.

Disaster Recovery & Business Continuity

  • Design and maintain backup, disaster recovery, and high-availability solutions.
  • Conduct recovery testing and infrastructure resilience assessments.
  • Ensure mission-critical systems meet established recovery objectives.
  • Support enterprise business continuity planning initiatives.

Cross-Functional Collaboration

  • Partner with Software Engineering, Cybersecurity, Network Engineering, Data Engineering, and IT Operations teams.
  • Provide technical guidance on cloud architecture and infrastructure best practices.
  • Participate in cloud migration projects and enterprise modernization initiatives.
  • Maintain accurate infrastructure documentation, architecture diagrams, and operational procedures.

Job Qualifications and Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Cloud Computing, Software Engineering, or related field required.
  • 4–8+ years of experience designing and supporting enterprise cloud environments.
  • Professional cloud certifications such as AWS Certified Solutions Architect, Microsoft Azure Administrator, Azure Solutions Architect, Google Professional Cloud Engineer, or equivalent strongly preferred.
  • Strong experience with AWS, Microsoft Azure, Google Cloud Platform, or multi-cloud environments.
  • Hands-on experience with Terraform, Kubernetes, Docker, Jenkins, GitHub Actions, Azure DevOps, GitLab CI/CD, and Infrastructure as Code.
  • Proficiency in Linux administration, networking, scripting (Python, Bash, PowerShell), and automation.
  • Experience with monitoring platforms such as Datadog, Prometheus, Grafana, CloudWatch, Azure Monitor, or Splunk.
  • Strong understanding of networking, virtualization, cloud security, IAM, storage, load balancing, and disaster recovery.

Compensation & Benefits

Compensation Package: $185,000 – $290,000
