About the Opportunity

We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Accounting Manager to oversee day-to-day accounting operations, financial close activities, reconciliations, reporting, and internal controls. This role will ensure accurate and timely financial information while supporting compliance, process improvement, budgeting, and broader financial objectives.

The Accounting Manager will collaborate with Finance, FP&A, Tax, Treasury, Operations, Audit, and Executive Leadership to maintain strong accounting practices and provide reliable financial information for business decision-making. The ideal candidate combines strong technical accounting knowledge with leadership, analytical, organizational, and communication skills.


Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Manage daily accounting operations and ensure accurate financial transactions.
  • Lead monthly, quarterly, and annual financial close processes.
  • Review journal entries, accruals, reconciliations, and general ledger activity.
  • Prepare and review financial statements and management reports.
  • Analyze account balances and investigate unusual or significant variances.
  • Maintain accurate accounts payable, accounts receivable, fixed asset, and general ledger records.
  • Ensure accounting activities comply with U.S. GAAP and company policies.
  • Maintain and strengthen internal accounting controls.
  • Coordinate external and internal audit requirements.
  • Support budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning activities.
  • Develop and maintain accounting policies, procedures, and process documentation.
  • Identify opportunities to automate and improve accounting workflows.
  • Research accounting issues and support implementation of applicable accounting standards.
  • Partner with Finance and Operations teams on financial analysis and reporting requirements.
  • Monitor accounting deadlines and ensure timely completion of deliverables.
  • Supervise, mentor, and develop accounting staff.
  • Prepare financial information and recommendations for senior management.

Job Qualifications and Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Minimum 5–8 years of progressive accounting experience.
  • 2–4 years of accounting management or supervisory experience preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of U.S. GAAP and financial reporting principles.
  • Experience managing month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close processes.
  • Strong understanding of reconciliations, journal entries, accruals, and general ledger accounting.
  • Experience with ERP systems such as NetSuite, SAP, Oracle, Microsoft Dynamics, or similar platforms.
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
  • Experience supporting audits and internal control processes.
  • CPA certification or progress toward CPA is preferred.
  • Excellent analytical, organizational, leadership, and communication skills.

Working Conditions

  • Fully Remote position within the United States.
  • Standard Monday through Friday schedule.
  • Additional flexibility may be required during month-end, quarter-end, year-end, and audit periods.
  • Frequent virtual collaboration with Finance, Accounting, Tax, Audit, and Operations teams.
  • Primarily computer-based work using accounting, ERP, reporting, and collaboration systems.
  • Occasional travel for company meetings, audits, conferences, and professional events.

Job Function

The Accounting Manager is responsible for managing accounting operations, financial close processes, reconciliations, financial reporting, internal controls, audit coordination, accounting policies, and accounting staff.


Compensation & Benefits

Compensation Package: $160,000 – $240,000 annually, based on accounting management experience, technical accounting expertise, industry background, organizational complexity, and overall qualifications.
