About the Opportunity

We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Quality Control Manager to lead quality-control programs, inspection processes, compliance activities, corrective actions, and continuous-improvement initiatives across the organization.

The Quality Control Manager will work closely with Engineering, Manufacturing, Operations, Supply Chain, Production, and Quality Assurance teams to establish consistent quality standards, reduce defects, improve process reliability, and ensure products and services meet customer, contractual, and regulatory requirements.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement comprehensive quality-control procedures and standards.
  • Lead inspection, testing, sampling, and verification activities.
  • Establish quality specifications, acceptance criteria, and inspection requirements.
  • Monitor production and operational processes for quality compliance.
  • Review quality data and identify trends, defects, and recurring issues.
  • Lead root-cause analysis and corrective and preventive action programs.
  • Establish and monitor quality KPIs, metrics, and performance targets.
  • Ensure products and services meet internal, customer, and regulatory specifications.
  • Manage nonconformance reports, corrective actions, and quality investigations.
  • Conduct internal quality audits and coordinate external audits.
  • Maintain quality-control documentation, inspection records, and reports.
  • Partner with Engineering and Manufacturing teams to resolve technical quality issues.
  • Support supplier quality programs and vendor corrective actions.
  • Review production processes and recommend improvements to reduce defects and waste.
  • Establish inspection plans, control plans, and quality procedures.
  • Support new-product introductions, process changes, and engineering modifications.
  • Ensure quality equipment, testing tools, and inspection systems are properly maintained and calibrated.
  • Develop quality reports and present performance results to senior leadership.
  • Manage quality-control resources, schedules, and departmental priorities.
  • Recruit, train, coach, and develop quality-control personnel.
  • Promote a culture of quality, accountability, safety, and continuous improvement.

Job Qualifications and Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Quality Management, Engineering, Manufacturing, Operations, or a related field.
  • 7+ years of quality-control or quality-management experience.
  • 3+ years of supervisory or management experience.
  • Strong knowledge of quality-control methodologies and inspection processes.
  • Experience with root-cause analysis, CAPA, 8D, FMEA, SPC, and process improvement.
  • Knowledge of ISO 9001 and applicable industry quality standards.
  • Experience with quality-management systems and inspection technologies.
  • Strong data-analysis and reporting capabilities.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and quality-management software.
  • Experience in manufacturing, engineering, industrial, medical-device, aerospace, automotive, or related environments preferred.
  • ASQ Certified Quality Engineer, Certified Quality Manager, or comparable certification is a plus.

Strategic Support

The Quality Control Manager plays a critical role in protecting product integrity, customer satisfaction, operational efficiency, and regulatory compliance. Through disciplined inspection, testing, data analysis, and corrective-action programs, this position helps prevent quality failures and improve overall process performance.

The role also provides leadership with quality insights that support operational planning, supplier management, cost reduction, and continuous-improvement decisions.

Working Conditions

  • Remote-based position within the United States with occasional travel.
  • Standard Monday through Friday schedule.
  • Additional flexibility may occasionally be required for production issues, audits, or quality investigations.
  • Frequent virtual collaboration with Quality, Engineering, Manufacturing, Operations, Supply Chain, and leadership teams.
  • Primarily computer-based work combined with periodic facility, supplier, or production-site visits.
  • Travel may be required for audits, supplier assessments, quality investigations, and company meetings.

Job Function

The Quality Control Manager leads inspection, testing, quality standards, nonconformance management, corrective actions, audits, quality reporting, supplier quality activities, and continuous-improvement initiatives.

Compensation & Benefits

Compensation Package: $145,000 – $215,000 annually, based on quality-management experience, industry specialization, operational scope, certifications, and overall qualifications.
