About the Opportunity
We are seeking a detail-oriented and analytical Staff Accountant to support day-to-day accounting operations, financial close activities, reconciliations, reporting, and financial controls. This role will help maintain accurate financial records and provide timely accounting information to support business operations and management decision-making.
The Staff Accountant will work closely with Accounting, Finance, Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Payroll, FP&A, and Operations teams. The ideal candidate has strong accounting fundamentals, excellent attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple deadlines in a fast-paced remote environment.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Prepare and post journal entries, accruals, and adjusting entries.
- Perform monthly balance sheet and general ledger reconciliations.
- Support monthly, quarterly, and annual financial close processes.
- Maintain accurate general ledger accounts and accounting records.
- Assist with preparation of financial statements and management reports.
- Reconcile bank, credit card, accounts payable, accounts receivable, and other accounts.
- Investigate and resolve discrepancies and unusual account activity.
- Assist with accounts payable and accounts receivable activities as required.
- Support fixed asset accounting and depreciation schedules.
- Assist with payroll accounting and related reconciliations.
- Prepare supporting schedules and documentation for audits.
- Maintain organized accounting records and financial documentation.
- Assist with tax and regulatory reporting requirements.
- Monitor accounting transactions for accuracy and compliance with company policies.
- Support internal control procedures and process improvement initiatives.
- Assist Accounting Managers and Controllers with financial analysis and special projects.
- Maintain confidentiality of financial information and company records.
Job Qualifications and Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field.
- 2–5 years of accounting experience preferred.
- Strong understanding of general ledger accounting and financial reporting.
- Knowledge of U.S. GAAP and accounting principles.
- Experience with reconciliations, journal entries, accruals, and month-end close.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Google Sheets.
- Experience with ERP or accounting systems such as NetSuite, SAP, Oracle, QuickBooks, Microsoft Dynamics, or similar platforms.
- Strong analytical and numerical skills.
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
- CPA eligibility or progress toward CPA is a plus.

The role also supports process improvements that increase accounting efficiency, reduce errors, and strengthen financial controls.
Working Conditions
- Fully Remote position within the United States.
- Standard Monday through Friday schedule.
- Additional flexibility may occasionally be required during month-end, quarter-end, year-end, and audit periods.
- Frequent virtual collaboration with Accounting, Finance, Operations, Payroll, and leadership teams.
- Primarily computer-based work using accounting, ERP, spreadsheet, and collaboration platforms.

Compensation & Benefits
Compensation Package: $85,000 – $135,000 annually, based on accounting experience, technical knowledge, ERP expertise, industry background, and overall qualifications.
