About the Opportunity

We are seeking an accomplished and highly experienced Senior Construction Project Manager to lead complex construction projects from preconstruction planning through final completion. This role will have responsibility for project execution, budgets, schedules, contracts, quality, safety, risk management, and stakeholder coordination.

The Senior Construction Project Manager will work closely with owners, architects, engineers, contractors, subcontractors, vendors, and internal leadership to ensure projects are delivered safely, efficiently, on schedule, and within approved financial parameters. The ideal candidate brings strong commercial judgment, construction expertise, leadership capabilities, and a proven record of delivering complex projects.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Lead construction projects from preconstruction through closeout.
  • Develop and manage comprehensive project schedules, budgets, and execution plans.
  • Establish project objectives, milestones, deliverables, and performance requirements.
  • Coordinate architects, engineers, general contractors, subcontractors, vendors, and consultants.
  • Manage contracts, change orders, procurement, and commercial negotiations.
  • Monitor project costs, commitments, forecasts, and financial performance.
  • Identify and mitigate construction, financial, schedule, safety, and operational risks.
  • Conduct regular project meetings and provide detailed progress reporting.
  • Review drawings, specifications, submittals, RFIs, change requests, and technical documentation.
  • Coordinate construction activities to maintain schedule and quality requirements.
  • Establish and monitor quality assurance and quality control processes.
  • Ensure projects comply with applicable building codes, regulations, contractual requirements, and company standards.
  • Partner with safety teams to maintain strong jobsite safety practices.
  • Manage project documentation, reporting, approvals, and closeout requirements.
  • Resolve complex project issues and disputes with contractors and stakeholders.
  • Develop recovery strategies when projects experience schedule or cost challenges.
  • Provide regular project updates and recommendations to senior leadership.
  • Mentor Project Managers, Project Engineers, and other construction professionals.
  • Identify opportunities to improve construction processes, productivity, and project delivery.

Job Qualifications and Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, Architecture, Engineering, or a related discipline.
  • 10+ years of progressive construction project management experience.
  • 5+ years managing complex or large-scale construction projects.
  • Proven experience managing project budgets, schedules, contracts, and multidisciplinary teams.
  • Strong knowledge of construction methods, project controls, procurement, and contract administration.
  • Experience with commercial, industrial, infrastructure, healthcare, technology, or large-scale development projects preferred.
  • Strong understanding of construction safety requirements, building codes, and regulatory standards.
  • Proficiency with construction management and scheduling platforms such as Procore, Primavera P6, Microsoft Project, Autodesk Construction Cloud, or similar systems.
  • Strong financial management and forecasting capabilities.
  • PMP, CCM, PE, or comparable professional certification is preferred.

Strategic Support

The Senior Construction Project Manager serves as a key leader responsible for converting project objectives into successful construction outcomes. This position provides strategic oversight of cost, schedule, quality, safety, procurement, contracts, and risk.

Through disciplined project controls and strong stakeholder leadership, the role helps protect project profitability, maintain client confidence, and ensure construction programs support broader organizational objectives.

Working Conditions

  • Remote-based position with travel as required.
  • Standard Monday through Friday schedule with flexibility based on project requirements.
  • Frequent virtual collaboration with project teams, contractors, clients, architects, engineers, and executives.
  • Primarily computer-based project management and coordination work.
  • Regular travel to construction sites, client offices, project meetings, inspections, and industry events may be required.
  • Ability to visit active construction environments when project responsibilities require onsite presence.

Job Function

The Senior Construction Project Manager is responsible for the overall planning, execution, financial management, scheduling, quality, safety, risk management, and successful completion of complex construction projects.

Compensation & Benefits

Compensation Package: $260,000 – $325,000 annually, based on construction leadership experience, project size and complexity, industry specialization, geographic scope, certifications, and overall qualifications.
