We are seeking a highly experienced Senior Security Operations professional to lead advanced cyber defense initiatives, improve enterprise security operations, and strengthen our overall security posture. This role serves as a senior technical expert responsible for threat detection, incident response, security monitoring, vulnerability management, and continuous improvement across enterprise security operations.

Working closely with Cloud Engineering, Infrastructure, DevSecOps, Risk Management, Compliance, Enterprise Architecture, and Executive Leadership, you will play a critical role in protecting business operations while driving operational excellence across the cybersecurity organization.


Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Lead enterprise security monitoring and cyber defense activities across cloud and on-premises environments.
  • Investigate and respond to advanced cybersecurity incidents using established incident response procedures.
  • Perform proactive threat hunting utilizing threat intelligence, behavioral analytics, and security telemetry.
  • Develop and optimize SIEM detection rules, SOAR workflows, and automated security response processes.
  • Monitor security events across networks, endpoints, cloud infrastructure, applications, and identity platforms.
  • Conduct root cause analysis and coordinate remediation activities following security incidents.
  • Oversee vulnerability management initiatives and support remediation planning across enterprise systems.
  • Collaborate with engineering teams to improve secure architecture and operational resilience.
  • Create executive security reports, dashboards, risk assessments, and operational metrics.
  • Support regulatory compliance, internal audits, and security governance initiatives.
  • Mentor junior analysts and contribute to continuous improvement of security operations.
  • Evaluate emerging cyber threats and recommend improvements to enterprise security capabilities.

Job Qualifications and Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Cybersecurity, Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 7 years of progressive experience in Security Operations, Incident Response, Threat Hunting, or Security Engineering.
  • Strong experience with SIEM platforms such as Microsoft Sentinel, Splunk Enterprise Security, IBM QRadar, or Elastic Security.
  • Experience with SOAR, EDR/XDR, endpoint protection, and threat intelligence platforms.
  • Knowledge of AWS, Microsoft Azure, and Google Cloud Platform security services.
  • Strong understanding of MITRE ATT&CK, NIST Cybersecurity Framework, Zero Trust Architecture, and incident response methodologies.
  • Experience with vulnerability management and security automation.
  • Industry certifications such as CISSP, GCIH, GCIA, Security+, CySA+, CCSP, or equivalent are preferred.
  • Strong analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills.

Job Function

The Senior Security Operations professional is responsible for protecting enterprise technology environments through advanced threat detection, security monitoring, incident response, vulnerability management, and security automation. This role works closely with engineering and business leaders to maintain a resilient security posture while supporting enterprise growth and regulatory compliance. Success is measured through operational effectiveness, incident response performance, threat detection accuracy, security maturity, and overall reduction of cyber risk.


Compensation & Benefits

Compensation Package

Base Salary: $348,000 – $398,000 USD annually

Compensation is based on cybersecurity expertise, leadership experience, technical certifications, geographic location, and overall qualifications.
