We are seeking an experienced Tableau Developer to design, develop, and optimize enterprise business intelligence solutions that transform complex datasets into meaningful visual insights. This role is responsible for building interactive dashboards, data models, executive scorecards, and reporting solutions that support operational performance, financial planning, customer analytics, and enterprise decision-making.

The Tableau Developer will collaborate with Data Engineers, Business Analysts, Data Scientists, Software Engineers, Cloud Architects, Product Managers, and Executive Stakeholders to deliver scalable analytics solutions that improve visibility, automate reporting, and enhance business performance.

The ideal candidate combines advanced Tableau expertise with strong SQL, data modeling, and analytical skills while maintaining a passion for transforming business data into compelling visual stories that drive measurable results.


Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and maintain interactive Tableau dashboards, executive scorecards, and enterprise reporting solutions.
  • Analyze business requirements and translate analytical needs into scalable visualization solutions.
  • Develop optimized Tableau data sources, calculated fields, parameters, filters, and advanced visualizations.
  • Create enterprise KPI dashboards supporting executive leadership and operational decision-making.
  • Collaborate with Data Engineers to integrate multiple data sources into enterprise reporting environments.
  • Design efficient data models that improve dashboard performance and reporting accuracy.
  • Develop automated reporting solutions that reduce manual reporting processes.
  • Optimize Tableau workbooks for scalability, responsiveness, and user experience.
  • Perform data validation, quality assurance, and troubleshooting to ensure reporting accuracy.
  • Support Tableau Server or Tableau Cloud administration, user access, and content governance.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to identify opportunities for business process improvement through analytics.
  • Document dashboard architecture, reporting standards, and development best practices.
  • Mentor junior BI developers while promoting enterprise analytics standards.
  • Stay current with emerging Tableau features, analytics technologies, and visualization best practices.

Job Qualifications and Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Data Analytics, Business Intelligence, Mathematics, Statistics, or a related discipline required.
  • Minimum of 4 years of professional experience developing Tableau dashboards and business intelligence solutions.
  • Advanced expertise with Tableau Desktop, Tableau Server, and Tableau Cloud.
  • Strong proficiency in SQL, relational databases, and data warehouse concepts.
  • Experience working with Snowflake, SQL Server, Oracle, PostgreSQL, Redshift, BigQuery, or similar enterprise databases.
  • Knowledge of ETL processes and data integration tools such as Alteryx, Informatica, Talend, or Azure Data Factory.
  • Experience with Python, R, or Power BI is considered an advantage.
  • Familiarity with AWS, Microsoft Azure, or Google Cloud analytics services.
  • Tableau Desktop Certified Professional or equivalent certification is highly preferred.
  • Excellent analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills.

Working Conditions

  • Fully Remote position within the United States.
  • Flexible work schedule supporting collaboration across multiple U.S. time zones.

Compensation & Benefits

Compensation Package

Base Salary: $274,000 – $348,000 USD annually

Compensation is determined based on Tableau expertise, business intelligence experience, SQL proficiency, analytics leadership, geographic location, and overall qualifications.
