As an Assistant Manager, you will work closely with the Store Manager and Regional Leadership to oversee daily business activities, coach and develop team members, maintain operational standards, and ensure the achievement of sales and profitability goals. You will collaborate with Sales, Merchandising, Inventory Control, Human Resources, Finance, and Customer Experience teams to optimize workflows, improve operational efficiency, and deliver outstanding service to every customer.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Assist the Store Manager in overseeing daily operational activities and ensuring efficient business performance.
  • Supervise, coach, and motivate team members to achieve sales, service, and operational objectives.
  • Support recruitment, onboarding, training, scheduling, and performance management initiatives.
  • Monitor daily sales performance, productivity metrics, and operational key performance indicators.
  • Ensure exceptional customer service by resolving customer concerns promptly and professionally.
  • Maintain inventory accuracy through stock management, merchandising, replenishment, and loss prevention initiatives.
  • Support financial management activities, including cash handling, expense control, and budget compliance.
  • Implement company policies, operational procedures, and merchandising standards.
  • Coordinate with Human Resources regarding employee relations, attendance, and workplace compliance.
  • Assist in developing action plans that improve customer satisfaction, operational efficiency, and profitability.
  • Monitor workplace safety, security procedures, and regulatory compliance.
  • Prepare operational reports, sales summaries, and performance updates for leadership.
  • Support promotional campaigns, seasonal initiatives, and new product launches.
  • Serve as Manager-on-Duty when required and provide leadership during peak business periods.
  • Foster a positive workplace culture centered on collaboration, accountability, and continuous improvement.

Job Qualifications and Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Management, Retail Management, or a related discipline preferred.
  • 3+ years of supervisory or management experience in retail, consumer goods, hospitality, or customer-focused operations.
  • Proven experience leading teams and supporting daily business operations.
  • Strong knowledge of retail operations, inventory management, merchandising, customer service, and financial controls.
  • Experience using point-of-sale (POS), inventory management, and business reporting systems.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including Excel, Word, and Outlook.
  • Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving capabilities.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work flexible schedules, including evenings, weekends, and holidays as business needs require.

Compensation & Benefits

Compensation Package: $90,000 – $130,000 annually, based on experience, leadership capabilities, operational expertise, and overall qualifications.
