The selected candidate will work closely with Engineering Leadership, Product, Design, Data, Security, DevOps, Platform Engineering, QA, Customer Success, Support, and business stakeholders to turn complex product and technical needs into dependable software solutions. This role will influence both strategic architecture and hands-on implementation across high-priority systems, customer-facing platforms, internal tools, and enterprise integrations.

Your Role at the Company

As Staff Software Engineer, you will serve as a senior technical leader responsible for designing, building, improving, and scaling software systems across key product, platform, infrastructure, and enterprise application areas.

You will be responsible for leading technical design, writing high-quality code, guiding architecture decisions, reviewing complex implementations, improving engineering practices, mentoring engineers, supporting production reliability, and helping teams make strong technical decisions.

You will serve as a trusted technical partner to engineering and product leadership while maintaining accountability for system quality, reliability, scalability, security, maintainability, and long-term platform health.

The ideal candidate combines deep software engineering expertise, architecture judgment, product thinking, technical mentorship, cloud systems experience, communication strength, and practical decision-making to support measurable engineering and business outcomes.

What You’ll Do

Lead the design, development, testing, deployment, and improvement of scalable software systems, cloud applications, backend services, APIs, data workflows, platform components, and enterprise product capabilities.

Provide technical leadership across complex engineering initiatives, including architecture design, system decomposition, service boundaries, integration strategy, data flow design, performance planning, and reliability improvements.

Write clean, maintainable, secure, and well-tested code while setting a strong technical example for engineering teams.

Guide engineering teams through technical design reviews, architecture discussions, implementation tradeoffs, code reviews, debugging strategies, and production-readiness decisions.

Partner with Product and Design teams to understand customer needs, evaluate technical feasibility, clarify requirements, identify risks, and deliver software that supports measurable customer value.

Partner with Platform, DevOps, and Infrastructure teams to improve cloud architecture, CI/CD pipelines, deployment reliability, service observability, monitoring, logging, and operational readiness.

Partner with Security teams to strengthen secure coding practices, authentication, authorization, data protection, vulnerability remediation, privacy requirements, and compliance expectations.

Improve system performance, scalability, reliability, resilience, cost efficiency, fault tolerance, and maintainability across assigned product and platform areas.

Identify and reduce technical debt by improving architecture, refactoring legacy components, simplifying services, improving test coverage, and standardizing engineering patterns.

Mentor senior and mid-level engineers through design feedback, code reviews, technical coaching, pairing, documentation, and practical guidance on engineering judgment.

Lead incident investigations, root cause analysis, production support improvements, post-incident reviews, and preventive engineering actions.

Support AI-enabled product and engineering initiatives by building application layers, workflow integrations, APIs, data connections, automation components, and scalable product experiences.

Create and maintain technical documentation, architecture diagrams, design proposals, API documentation, runbooks, engineering standards, and decision records.

Influence engineering roadmaps by identifying platform risks, scalability needs, reliability gaps, product limitations, and long-term technical investment opportunities.

What You’ll Bring

8+ years of professional software engineering experience building enterprise software, cloud platforms, SaaS products, distributed systems, data-driven applications, developer platforms, or customer-facing digital products.

3+ years of experience operating at senior, staff, principal, tech lead, architecture, or cross-team technical leadership level.

Experience working within enterprise SaaS, AI-enabled technology, cloud platforms, cybersecurity, fintech, healthcare technology, data platforms, ecommerce, developer tools, or large-scale technology environments preferred.

Strong experience designing and building backend services, APIs, distributed systems, event-driven architectures, microservices, data platforms, enterprise integrations, or scalable product systems.

Strong programming experience in one or more languages such as Python, Java, Go, TypeScript, JavaScript, C#, Kotlin, Scala, Ruby, or similar modern engineering languages.

Experience with frontend or full stack development using React, Next.js, Angular, Vue, TypeScript, JavaScript, design systems, or modern web application frameworks preferred.

Experience with databases and data systems such as PostgreSQL, MySQL, SQL Server, MongoDB, Redis, DynamoDB, Elasticsearch, Snowflake, Kafka, Spark, or similar platforms.

Experience with cloud platforms and infrastructure such as AWS, Azure, Google Cloud, Docker, Kubernetes, serverless platforms, CI/CD pipelines, infrastructure as code, and observability tools.

Strong understanding of system design, APIs, data modeling, distributed systems, scalability, security, testing strategy, performance optimization, reliability engineering, and production operations.

Experience with automated testing, code quality standards, monitoring, incident response, release management, technical documentation, and engineering process improvement.

Experience using tools such as GitHub, GitLab, Bitbucket, Jira, Linear, Confluence, Datadog, New Relic, Sentry, Grafana, Prometheus, Postman, Figma, Slack, Google Workspace, Microsoft 365, or similar platforms preferred.

Ability to work with Engineering Leadership, Product, Design, Data, Security, DevOps, Platform Engineering, QA, Customer Success, Support, and business stakeholders.
