The Chief Data Officer (CDO) will lead the global data organization, responsible for defining and executing the company’s data strategy, ensuring data quality and governance, and unlocking value through analytics and AI. This role will oversee data engineering, data science, analytics, governance, and data platform teams, ensuring alignment with business objectives and long-term growth strategies.
This is a highly strategic, board-facing role requiring a leader with deep expertise in data architecture, AI/ML, analytics, and enterprise data governance, with the ability to translate data into measurable business value.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Define and execute the enterprise-wide data strategy aligned with business and digital transformation goals.
- Lead global teams across data engineering, data science, analytics, and data governance.
- Build and scale modern data platforms, data lakes, and real-time analytics systems.
- Establish robust data governance frameworks ensuring data quality, security, and compliance.
- Drive adoption of AI, machine learning, and advanced analytics across the organization.
- Develop data monetization strategies and identify opportunities to leverage data as a revenue-generating asset.
- Partner with business leaders to enable data-driven decision-making across all functions.
- Oversee implementation of tools for data visualization, reporting, and business intelligence.
- Ensure compliance with global data privacy and regulatory standards.
- Promote a culture of data literacy and data-driven innovation across the enterprise.
Job Qualifications and Requirements
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Engineering, or related field; advanced degree preferred.
- 15–20+ years of experience in data leadership, analytics, or technology roles.
- Proven experience leading enterprise data organizations in large-scale environments.
- Strong expertise in data architecture, cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP), and big data technologies.
- Experience with AI/ML frameworks, predictive analytics, and data science methodologies.
- Deep understanding of data governance, privacy regulations, and compliance frameworks.
- Experience working with executive leadership and Board-level stakeholders.

Compensation & Benefits
- Compensation Package: $425,000 – $540,000 base + performance bonus + long-term equity incentives
